Ada Update

So we had another check up today (yes, I'm the most observed pregnant person on the face of the earth), but I wanted to share some of the pictures as due to some concerns last time (everything is looking good now), the tech took LOTS of images... As of last week, Ada is around 5lbs 7 oz and as of today, I'm scheduled for an amnio on Monday at 11 am to check her lung development. If all appears well, they are planning on a delivery on Wednesday.

So, without further adieu, let's move on to the pictures...

If it looks like she is grinning in the one below, that's because she is... I have NO idea what makes babies smile in utero, but sure enough ours is... Michael says she thinks she funny and that she gets it from her mama :-)

Based on her cheeks, I'm a little worried that I may be pregnant with Winston Churchill's baby.... granted, that's kind of what Q looked like in the womb, too.

All that said, hope you enjoy!!
Love, J

We're Back....

Ok, so realistically, I don't know how faithful I'm going to be to blogging, but our other TurnerPeanut site expired some time ago and with Ada almost here, I definitely wanted to make sure I had a way to share photos with everyone (even those of you who somehow have managed to survive life thus far without Facebook!). That said, I will try to put info and pictures up on this site as often as possible. I'm currently scheduled for a c-section on 4/27, but that will be dependent on an amnio that shows her lungs are ready early next week. That said, I'm definitely ready for the pregnancy to be over and to finally get to meet her. I'm gigantic and have been wiped out for most of the pregnancy, so I have high hopes that I'll have LOTS more energy once I have my body to myself. I finally have gotten Michael to admit that I'm huge, which is a new fun game. Last week he thought I was the size of a townhome, but now he agrees I'm at least the size of a single-family starter home :-) Quinn is doing really well and getting very grown up. He chatters all the time now and most of what he says actually makes sense. He is very excited about having a little sister, although at some point recently I told him that she would look up to him and think everything he did was awesome and now he seems to believe she will be born saying, "Yay, Quinn" so he may be a little bit disappointed with her in the beginning. He's constantly singing and dancing. Last night he wrote his first song with real words when we were playing at Regina and Chris' new condo. It was called, "This Way, This Way". Granted, other than the fact that it was about going this way and this way, it didn't really mean much, but it had a great beat and you could dance to it :-) We're doing well in Greenville, though apparently it is a cesspool for pollen and the like which is really impacting Quinn and me of late. Lucky little bug can take toddler Claritin, though, so I have to say that since I can't really take anything because of the pregnancy, I think he's coping better than I am. I'm putting a few recent pix up. Hope you all enjoy! Love to all! J

Quinn at the church on Saturday hunting Easter eggs and playing in the gym.

I have to admit, I thought he was pretty smart to fill his basket with the eggs on the table instead of picking them up off of the floor!

Dying Easter Eggs on Saturday night with his cousins! We tried to do some very elaborate (and stinky) marbling with vinegar and vegetable oil which resulted in baths after we were done!
